Affordable Connectivity

The MBR900 bridges the wired and wireless worlds seamlessly. It features the broadest support of mobile broadband data modems available on the market today, and has easily upgradable firmware for future technology advances. Built with advanced data throughput management for wired services (Cable, T1, or DSL) as well as mobile broadband, your WiFi network has never been more flexible at such a affordable price.

"ALWAYS ON" INTERNET

The MBR900 is essentially two routers in one. Ready to be used with an active 3G/4G mobile broadband device, it supports ethernet-based data connections as well. You can use both wired and wireless together to create a redundant internet connection. When your wired data service is interrupted, the MBR900 will automatically connect to an attached active data modem within 30 seconds - keeping you connected and online. Once your wired service is restored, the MBR900 will automatically failback to your primary connection - minimizing the time you're connected to the data modem.

The MBR900 is the perfect solution to keep your business flowing.

SIMPLE, POWERFUL, SECURE

Powered by WiPipe technology, the MBR900 includes many features found in expensive, enterprise -class routers at a fraction of the cost. No software to load and minimal setup means you'll be up and running in minutes. The MBR900 comes standard with top security features like multiple concurrent VPN pass-through sessions, encryption modes including WEP, WPA/WPA2/WPA2Enterprise and a firewall which prevents unauthorized use of your connection. 5 out of 5 stars 3g/4g sprint usage   August 20, 2010

Got it in 3 days and it works great for computer, wii and blu-ray. Had some problems when trying to secure the router and called the number on directions, they were unbelievable and helped alot. You may have to wait 20 minutes for their help, but they know exactly what to tell you with problems.. Very great product...VERY GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

4 out of 5 stars Great! and.... not so great...   July 25, 2010
    Megan's Mom (WI, USA)
The first one I ordered would not even power on and had to return it, but my order was fulfilled with Amazon so it was super easy. The second one I got turned it on and plugged in my Verizon 760 and was connected to the internet immediately! Loved that part! Then I could not get to the setup page via the explorer even with add-ons disabled. I called customer support and sat on hold for over an hour, before I decided to start a online chat support window which took 15 minutes. The solution was to download Google Chrome to get to it. Semi annoying. Trying to figure out the setup is a little more difficult for a novice at network setup. I never even did get it to do all I wanted, or maybe it can't. I would like to be able to use the wi-fi for a Nintendo DSLITE and a Wii system, but apparently it won't recognize the settings. Someday I may get ambitious and call or try chat again. Overall, I am THRILLED with not having my USB in my computer to get broken. I don't have the problem with checking usage as some other users as I was an Alltel customer with unlimited internet usage. So I really recommend this product for those of you who don't want to file an insurance claim because the USB broke!

5 out of 5 stars Good so far   July 18, 2010

I got this router to use with my Sierra 595u broadband card, a PC (wired), a DirecTV HD satellite box (wired) and a netbook--notebook--(whatever) (wireless). It works with wired and wireless at the same time; great! It was easy to set up after a small problem with the IE browser(of course). I just had to eliminate proxy server. Works with all my browsers and is "all systems go" so far. I like that it keeps the connection up continuously. You must use the MAC address last 6 digits for EACH new computer setup. That kind of threw me for a bit after I set up the initial password (I thought it would work for the next computer. Duh) The DirecTV box setup was nothing, just an ethernet cable and menu selecting "connect to internet". I will edit this review if I have any problems. I hope it lasts. For a hundred bucks, it'd better last!

2 out of 5 stars Great product ... for about 2 months   July 8, 2010

I bought this unit as it works with my Sierra wireless card. I easily installed the unit, and networked 3 desktop computers and 1 notebook. All was well for the first 2 months, then the wireless crapped out. I called Cradlepoint and they were useless. They did offer me a refurb unit (with no warranty) and I refused. If they have so many refurbs of a "new" unit, I think their quality control is very poor. I'll run this piece of crap until the hardwired connection dies (probably in a couple of months), and then buy a real router.

Save your money, and do not buy this unit!

4 out of 5 stars Great product, but setup is a problem   July 2, 2010
    R. Slattery (Olathe, KS)
I purchased this router b/c of the low price, great coverage range, and that it worked with Sprint's 4G service (using a U301 USB connection card). I had done quite a bit of research and knew that this router would not come out of the box able to use the U301, but I have a wireleine connection and knew I could update the firmware & be off & running with little inconvenience. So, I unpacked it, upgraded the firmware (both the router firmware & the 4G firmware) with little trouble. Took it back upstairs, plugged it in and connected with my laptop. I was able to connect with the router easily and did a quick setup on it. First webpage I had no problem loading, second webpage BLOCKED. Hmmm, what happened, it says DNS error. Did some research, changed settings to optimize for 4G, lots of modem restarts later I'm surfing the net. Going along fine then BLOCKED. Says DNS error again. Once one page blocks surfing the web comes to a screeching halt. Throw my hands up for the day (after about 3 hours) and decide to try again tomorrow. Next day, going along fine for 5 mins then BLOCKED. ARGHGHHHHH what's going on. Spend 3 more hours tweaking settings, getting frustrated etc. I tried the card in my laptop again with no problems and no blocks, it's defintely the router. I surrender, but luckily I'm off on Monday b/c Cradlepoint service is only open on the weekends. Call Cradlepoint, spend some time on with a rep named Mike B. Nice guy, really helpful, try some other things still having the problem. He had never heard of this type of issue, he recommends trying another computer (can't beleive I didn't think of that). My XP laptop works perfect, no blocks all good. Hmmm, so it's Windows 7 interaction with the router fouling things up. GRRRREEEAAATT. Mike B e-mail's me later & said there's an issue & their tech dept is working on it. Doh! Mike keeps in contact with me and ultimately e-mail's me some new firmware that's about to go into production. I upload it, problem FIXED. Whew! It's been running perfect since, cut my cable internet about 10 days ago. The new firmware is out there now so i'm guessing you won't have these problems once you update. Great product, but avg. consumer would have been so ticked off this would have likely been returned. That being said I'm wireless and thrilled about it. Wii connected, Neflix running, 3 computers connected. All goooood
